“Amtrak Alcoves” brought train-ride romanticism to bookstores and cafés across the nation. In these pop-ups, passersby could sit in real Amtrak train seats and watch the live view of an Amtrak train window. Ambient music played from speakers embedded within the seats for an even more interactive experience. A sticker on the table encouraged visitors to post photos on social media (and tag @Amtrak) with #FindAbroadAboard.
